Having dominated Japanese F3 Championship for years TEAM TOM’S is one of the most active teams in Japan, running cars also in Super GT and Formula Nippon, and has had glorious achievements in international races including Ultimate Masters of Formula 3, Macau GP and Korean Superprix.
Kazuya Oshima, who was a part of its 3-car assault on the 2007 series with Oliver Jarvis and Hiroaki Ishiura as his teammates, became the first Japanese champion in the series since the victory of Takeshi Kogure in 2002. In the meantime Jarvis won the 2007 Macau GP, which brought a debut win to the new 1AZ-FE engine and the long-coveted number one pit back to the team.
TEAM TOM’S takes 3-car formation again this season comprising a Dutch driver Carlo van Dam and two TDP (Toyota Young Drivers Program) racers Keisuke Kunimoto and Takuto Iguchi.
