Round13 [Motegi]
‘August 9 , Round13 :Twin Ring Motegi Participation cars: 9 all-Japan class, 7 National class.Weather:Cloudy (DRY)
Van dam turned the position from Kunimoto of PP at a start and marked the sixth win! The all Japan F3 championship entered the final stage finally.
@ In the situation that the team section, the engine tuner section and the driver section of Japanese F3 titles may be decided on this Motegi round, by the thirteenth round on Saturday, the team sections and the engine tuner section were decided promptly.
At qualifying in temperature 34 degrees, track surface 46 degrees started at 11:15 a.m. on Saturday, Keisuke Kunimoto of TOM'S acquired the first pole position.
@Carlo Van dam who is point leader remained in the second position and Takuto Iguchi, Yuki Nakayama, Naoki Yamamoto, Kei Cozzolino followed to them and filled Grid to the third line.
@The thirteenth round final race at 3:38 p.m. At the grid gloomy cloud broadened then air and track surface temperature fell down at a stretch while there was even a rainy sign. The machine of Hironobu Yasuda of ThreeBond was pushed back in a mission trouble hurriedly from the grid to a pit garage.
@The crew made an effort in restoration of a machine to get ready for start from the pit-lane somehow. But Yasuda cannot start without the worth after all, and the race started with 15 machines.
@Among the higher positions which did with a good start all at once, acceleration of Van dam was the best.
@He overtook a pole sitter Kunimoto which told that "I should have been able to win if I settled a start" and took a position of the top away in 1st corner.
@On this account Kunimoto dropped down to 2nd place, and Iguchi, Nakayama, Yamamoto, and Cozzolino followed them. Koki Saga picked to overtake with the former at 1st corner and 3rd corner, but he was still the seventh place.
@Daisuke Nakajima failed in a start, and it was hard start to allow to precedence of National class.
Van dam stood on the top at the beginning the race and did a three-cornered fight, but succeeded in gradually widening a margin.
@Behind Kunimoto, Iguchi suffered from flattery of Yamamoto and Nakayama, Nakajima who returned to the eighth place ranged in one line for a while,it became easy development for two top.
"I got a gap as much as possible and continued pushing to take a fastest lap".
Kunimoto pushed also, but a margin opened for the end of the race slightly" Van dam told and just held on and won 14 laps to get the turnabout championship.
@TOM'S team monopolized winners' podium with second place Iguchi and third place Kunimoto.
@Followed them, Nakayama tided over his teammate Yamamotofs offensive and got into the fourth place.

@ In National class, Hideki Yamauchi who was the top in qualifying said "I did start ordinarily", but Alexandre Imperatori settled an exquisite dash than him and moved up to the top in 1st corner. On the contrary, 3rd place Hideto Yasuoka missed the start and has allowed to precedence of Masaki Matsushita and Zaher Ali. Imperatori got a margin for one second because he caught Nakajima between Yamauchi till the second lap and defended it to the last. At the end of race he shook off Yamauchi's difference and got the fourth win in this season. Imperatori told that "I was confident to be not to overtake unless making mistake after stood on the top at start."
@On the other hand, the third position fight by Matsushita, Ali and Yasuoka continued to be one line of length situation till the last. It seemed to finish as they were, but Yasuoka came to be side by side to Ali at hairpin in a last lap and succeeded recovering one position up on downhill straight at last.
