| Iguchi achieves consecutive pole to win again! |
@The following day, 20 hours later, the 2nd 21 lap race started at 12:55 on April 6th .
The direction of the wind had changed to headwind on pit straight, and track temperature was over 35 degrees.As conditions had changed considerably from the previous day, most teams adjusted the setup on the grid just before the start.
Grid was set in qualifying with pole sitter of first round Iguchi again in PP.
2nd place was Kunimoto, and Van Dam, Cozzolino were on the second line, with Yamamoto and Saga on the third line.
@When the red lights went out, Iguchi with a good start defended his line from Van Dam, another good starter, who overtook 2nd placed Kunimoto who nearly stalled off the line.
Cozzolino, Saga, Nakajima followed them, but Nakajima lost the fight into Dunlop corner, and Nakayama got ahead.@Yasuda passed Nakajima into 7th place under braking at first corner on the second lap.
@Iguchi hwas confident of victory when I got into 1st corner on 1st positionh broke away from Van dam. Behind Van dam, Cozzolino approached Kunimoto again, but kunimoto held on to third.
However, Yasuda overtook Saga on the fifth lap and advanced to fifth place.
Yasuda then tailed Cozzolino, making good use of his fresh tyres, and the crowds in the stands were excited by his pass into 4th place on the last lap.

But at that time race leader Iguchi was already in sector 2. After the start, nobody threaten Iguchi who dominated the race like a great champion, and took the chequered flag with both arms up in triumph. 2nd place was Van Dam, who declared hI was in second place at start, and followed Iguchi, but he was too fasth . Kunimoto held on to the third position, so Tom's team monopolized the podium. Yasuda, Cozzolino, Saga completed the top 6.

Matsushita was on pole for the second round, with Yamanouchi lining up on his right side promising a good contest , but Yamanouchi was disappointed in his quest for a win when he lost time nearly stalling off the line. In the championship class Yamamoto staled at start, but Matsushita avoided him and led into the first corner, then steadily increasing his margin till the chequered flag.
Behind him Ali and Imperatori fought for second place with Imperatori increasing his advance to the flag after taking the place on the last corner of the 5th lap. It was their first race in Japan, so both commemorated a maiden podium.
Yamanouchi was running in fourth, but had to pit for a loose wheel-nut, re-joining last to take the flag.
